George F. Handel: 250th Anniversary Musical Box LE
This magnificent musical box marks the 250th anniversary of the death of one of England's greatest composers. The music played is from 'Hallelujah Chorus' from his 'Messiah'. When it was first performed in London the whole assembly, with George II at its head, rose to its feet. The design is inspired by exquisite decoration on the harpsichord in the Handel House Museum - just over the road from Halcyon Days in Brook Street. Designed by Mark Whiffen. 3 3/4" in diameter. Comes in padded presentation case. Circa 2009.
